Meet Shiro!

Shiro is a beautiful 10-year-old black kitty with a quiet soul, an adorable little curl in her tail, and a heart that's well worth the wait. This petite girl is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can settle in at her own pace and blossom into the loving companion she's meant to be.

Like many shy cats, Shiro takes time to trust new people. It took her a few months to fully warm up to her foster mom, but now, when the house is calm and peaceful, she'll come prancing out with a big stretch and the sweetest little look, or a soft meow, to ask for pets and affection. Once you've earned her trust, she'll happily soak up the love and would be thrilled to curl up on your chest for a cozy nap.

Shiro is front declawed, so she'll need to remain an indoor-only cat in a safe environment. Loud noises and sudden movements can still startle her, and she appreciates having a cozy hiding spot where she can retreat when she feels overwhelmed. The good news is that she bounces back quickly once things settle down.

She coexists well with other cats but prefers to do her own thing. She hasn't become close with any of her foster feline siblings, so if she shares a home with another cat, it should be one who will respect her space and let friendship develop naturally, if it develops at all.
